Thanks to a tip, I went back and checked the official Heroes website and a ton of Youtube videos and was surprised to find that the Hero version of the avatar characters seem to have names when they are battled in a specific mode. Here is the list:

Male Saiyan Hero
Name Spelling: Beet or Beat
Source Spelling: ビート (bīto)
Seems to be named after the the vegetable, beet, but considering the female Saiyan's name, it is possible they are using a musical naming scheme or something.

Female Saiyan Heroine
Name Spelling: Note
Source Spelling: ノート (nōto)
Doesn't seem to be named after a vegetable, instead using notebook or musical note as her pun or something. I admit that doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering tradition, and I'm hoping that there is some sort of Vegetable pun behind her name that no one has gotten so far...I couldn't personally find a source fo rthis one, so I'm working off the info the tipster gave me.

Majin Hero
Name Spelling: Cabura, Cabra, Kabura or Kabra
Source Spelling: カブラ (kabura)
Likely taken from a rearranging of the famous magic word 'abracadabra'; アブラカダブラ/aburakadabura

Namekian Hero
Name Spelling: Tsumuri
Source Spelling: ツムリ (tsumuri)
Taken from the second half of katatsumuri, one of the Japanese words for snail. Personally I don't like this name, as a playable Namekian warrior already used it in Dragon Ball Z: Legend of the Super Saiyan on the Super Famicom. For DBR, I'll probably be changing it.

White Machine Mutant
Name Spelling: Poll, Poru, Pole
Source Spelling: ポル (poru)
It is possible that this robot would make "poru/poll" noises when it talks, since it is named in a similar manner to Gill/Giru. It is also possible that it was named with a pole in mind, possibly are part of the tool theme that Machine Mutants are named for.

Freeza Clan Hero
Name Spelling: Froze
Source Spelling: フローズ (furōzu)
Don't think I need an explanation here...
