First we had Heroes, followed by Heroes: Galaxy Mission, then Heroes: Ultimate Mission. Now we have Heroes: Victory Mission, a short mini manga from V-Jump featuring SS Beet, SS3 GT Trunks, SS GT Goten, SS GT Gohan and SS3 Gogeta vs. Bebi Janenba:

Bebi Janenba looks really good in black and white. Too bad he has so much purple when colored in. lol My only complaint is that they went with an actual Heroes story line of a kid playing the game, instead of doing something in-universe...but I guess it's hard to explain Bebi Janenba that way (same problem I faced for Redux)...

Will be continued in the next issue.

The thing is Gohan should be stronger than Trunks and maybe on par with SSJ Gogeta? Maybe thats farfetched, but yeah at the end of DBZ Gohan was insanely powerful, more powerful than SSJ3 for sure.

Problem is that GT kind of completely ignores the fact that Gohan has that Elder Kai form or whatever people refer to it as.

It doesn't really ignore anything, the big issue is that they don't bother to explain anything. lol

I mean, nothing is said about Gohan losing his Ultimate power-up over the years and he still has his Ultimate hairstyle, minus the bang. So it seems as if he just managed to gain access to SS and it's boost again. It has been 15 years since Buu was defeated; things have happened, characters have gotten stronger, etc. It's very possibly, though I admit highly unlikely, that everyone just managed to catch up to Gohan again...which given everything else in GT, is probably more likely than I'd prefer...

Still funny how GT Trunks is SSj3, but Goten and Gohan are just at SSj1 still.
Good art. Needs a English translation though :/

Can't give them what they don't have yet. If you make them all SS3 for the manga, then it would imply to kids that the forms are available in the game.

Even without one, it looks just like typical DBZGT banter. lol

Still, it just looks strange to only have Trunks GT be a SSj3 while Goten, who should be close to being equal and Gohan, who is stronger then both don't...

Goten didn't go out into space, and Gohan's SS is most likely stronger than the two teen's powers at SS3 would be together.

Ultimate Gohan was stronger than SS3 Gotenks at the end of Z and nothing in GT confirms that he lost the Elder Kai's power-up, only that he gains a boost from going SS again. So if Gohan's base was stronger than Gotenks at one point, SS would sure as hell be stronger than his fusees, regardless of their form.

Sure, I know about him being stronger with Old Kai's powerup, but most people seem to think he later lost he power to use it in GT. I remember a scene during the Omega Shenron fight where it looked like he was using it, but if he still had it, then why wouldn't he use it against Vegeta when he was infected by Baby to make it easier for him or when he was fighting Goku with Goten?
I don't know. I just don't see why going SSj1 in GT would make him stronger then using his Kai powerup all the time.

I think you're a bit confused here. In the series proper, his power up from the Elder Kaioshin becomes his new base form. He doesn't transform into it every time (except Movie 13, where they screwed up), just the once and then its always active afterward. When he becomes Ultimate, his hair becomes spikier and the lines on his eyes are enclosed, instead of open like Goku's.

Never is it stated anywhere in the series/guides/whatever that he lost the power, it's just useless fan speculation. And for evidence to the contrary, Gohan still has the Ultimate hair and eye traits for his base form in GT, so the power-up is still in effect. Meaning his SS transformation is stacked on in addition to his Ultimate power, not a replacement branch transformation.

Whoa, yeah. Jenenba actually looks great in greyscale!! (I'm surprised, actually) And I like this artist. His/her grasp on proportions seem a bit better than Toriyama's.
Also, hahaha, I can actually understand some of the dialogue! :D Wish there was a bigger version of this so I can stare at it some more in detail. xD Maybe I should look around for it on google or something.

?? Why don't you like the idea of going with the story of a kid playing db heroes? I personally don't mind, and doing things that way allows for more flexibility. : )
But anyways--psh you can be creative. You know you can--even if you have to bs some parts, lol. Use dat brain of yours!! (/^▽^)/

Man, looking at these pages makes me wanna practice more...but I'm so busy these days. OTL

Everyone is assuming it's Toyble's official debut as a solo artist for the franchise, similar to how Ooishi was originally a dojinshi artist before she was brought on. It looks a lot like his work, but I can't say for certain if it's him or not.

I dunno if you'll find another version. lol It's been almost a year now and we still haven't gotten proper scans of the last few, new pages of the Episode of Bardock reprint. :/

I just don't like when franchises have universes where our main, lovable characters aren't "real" in their already fictional world, never have. Though I did tell you I've already solved the problem, I was just saying it'd be harder for them because they aren't rewriting the franchise. lol

Do what you can when you can.

I know the artist's name, but that doesn't change anything. Ooishi changed her pen name when she transitioned from dojinshi to official products, and with the art style, it's pretty obvious it's him...though we may never get official confirmation.

There were rumors about it being a team indeed. And 2 of them were told to be persons who worked at Toei Animation on the cell saga animations.

That's just it though, rumors. Nothing solid to go on; like how half the fans out there claim Toriyama is still working on new series for DB that he has never shows anyone, but they will all debut next year with SS5.

Nothing Toyble has said "himself" implies anything other than a solo act.

Damn, this is nice. Personally, I like the story of the kid playing Heroes and then he gets sucked into the game. I'm using that as the inspiration for my own DBZ story, featuring similar hero avatars from Heroes and Ultimate Tenkaichi/Blast.

Eh, it doesn't really bother me. It's just a story set-up for a game, it's nothing that affects the franchise as a whole or the original source material.

As well as the writer of that fight wanted him to? lol

Honestly, he'd probably wipe the floor with him as long as he had access to Super Saiyan 3. Janenba is equivalent to Super Buu and and Bebi's base form is stronger than General Rilld, who was said to surpass one of the Buus. So if you combine them, you'd probably only end up somewhere between Buu with Gohan absorbed and SS3 Vegetto depending on your views of powers in the series.

Hmmm, Id think SSJ3 Gogeta would be enough. I dont know if Fusion dance is base pl times base pl like the Potara earring fusion but Its basically SSJ4 Gogeta, then im torn if Super Vegito could beat Omega. Anyway Janemba could do NOTHING against Gogeta in his SSJ1 form so I think SSJ3 Gogeta would likely wipe the floor with him all over again.

Maybe, who knows. Bebi's gray from is already implied to be stronger than General Rilld, who's base form is said to be stronger than Buu (which form, who knows). It's fairly possible that Bebi Janenba could easily outclass Gogeta depending on how the individual fan interprets the powers in the series.

Well, you claimed that Kid Buu would defeat Super Janemba but Buuhan is actually stronger than Kid Buu by a pretty good amount, having Mystic Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo inside him and Veggeto trounced him like he was nothing. The big question is that if Gogeta is as strong as Veggeto.

No, I said Janenba's final form is equal to Super Buu, so he would kick the little Buu's ass. Rilld is said to be stronger than Buu, though Goku doesn't specifically say which one, could be Buu with Gohan absorbed for all we know. Rilld then undergoes two transformations and gets even stronger. Then Bebi is awakened and is even stronger than Rilld, and when he makes his way to Earth, he transforms and is even stronger than before. Fuse that with Janenba, and depending on you interpret the characters powers (some people think base kid Goku in GT is stronger than Vegetto :/) you could end up with something that is way out of Gogeta and Vegetto's league.

All depends on how each individual views the series...
